Phuture Alpha Testnet guide
To participate in the testnet, it is better to use Metamask
Preparing for the testnet
- Connect your wallet to the Rinkeby testnet. You can find out how to switch networks here.
- Ensure your wallet has Rinkeby ETH. You can obtain testnet ETH from this faucet.
- You will need USDC to create and mint indices. This is obtained by converting some of the ETH you received in the previous step on this Uniswap pool.
You are now ready to start creating, minting and redeeming indices!
Index creation
Go to the Phuture testnet app and connect your wallet
Click “Create index”
The “Index sector” page will open. Click on it
Click “Add asset”
A list of available assets will appear. Choose assets of your choice
Scroll down and click “Continue”
Select weighting method and click “Continue”
Select an index picture (optional), index symbol and name. Fill in the “Pay with”
Scroll down to see the “Index Summary”. Check the details and click “Approve”. In the metamask window that opens, read the information and click “Sign”
Click “Create INDEX”. In the metamask window that opens, read the information and click “Confirm”.
The page will refresh and a list of your indices and statistics will appear.
Done!
By clicking “View”, you can study the index in more detail (Asset Allocation, statistics, etc.), mint and redeem it.
Mint
Click “Mint” on the index page
Fill in the “Pay with” field and click “Approve”. In the opened Metamask window, read the information and click “Sign”
Click “Mint”. In the opened Metamask window, read the information and click “Confirm”
Done!
Redeem
Click “Redeem” on the index page
Enter amount and click “Approve”. In the opened Metamask window, read the information and click “Sign”
Click “Redeem”. In the opened Metamask window, read the information and click “Confirm”
Done!
